Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using East Brunswick Handyman services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use this service.

Service Description

East Brunswick Handyman is a New Jersey registered home improvement contractor (NJ HIC #13VH13918800) providing small-job repair and maintenance services including:

• Drywall repair, painting touch-ups, and interior finish repairs
• Door, lock, trim, and carpentry repair and replacement
• TV mounting, furniture assembly, and installation of shelving and accessories
• Deck and fence repair, shed assembly, and small exterior repairs
• Tile, grout, and caulk repair; backsplash installation
• Like-for-like replacement of faucets, toilets, fixtures, switches, and receptacles that New Jersey classifies as ordinary maintenance (N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.7). We do not perform work requiring a construction permit, and we do not install new plumbing lines, new circuits, water heaters, or gas appliances
• We do not perform full bathroom or kitchen remodels, tub-to-shower conversions, or walk-in shower construction

Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

East Brunswick Handyman and its affiliated Central Jersey Home Services LLC service brands send service-related text messages, such as a follow-up text if we miss your call, replies to questions you text us, and messages about your estimate or scheduled work. The following terms apply:

• By calling our phone line, texting our number, or submitting a form with your phone number, you agree to receive service-related text messages from us at that number
• Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service
• Message frequency varies based on your inquiry; message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan
• Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us; reply HELP for help
• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
• Mobile information and text messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes; see our Privacy Policy

Pricing and Payment

Service pricing is flat-rate: the Handyman Visit ($295), Half Day ($495), and Full Day ($895) packages, or one written price for bigger jobs, agreed before work begins. Payment terms include:

• Written prices are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
• Payment is due on completion. We do not take deposits or draw schedules
• Materials are billed at cost and itemized on the invoice
• Additional work requires written approval and pricing before it begins

Warranties and Guarantees

We stand behind our work with:

• One-year labor warranty on every job: if our workmanship fails within a year, we come back and make it right at no charge
• Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and fixtures
• Warranty coverage excludes normal wear and tear, misuse, and pre-existing conditions we identified and were asked not to address

Liability and Insurance

East Brunswick Handyman is fully licensed (NJ HIC #13VH13918800), bonded, and insured. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We maintain general liability insurance, and workers' compensation coverage is carried for all employees.

Cancellation Policy

Service cancellations require:

• 24-hour notice for most appointments
• 48-hour notice for project work
• Materials special-ordered for a job may be non-refundable once ordered
• Emergency services may have different cancellation terms

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate project information and requirements
• Ensuring safe and reasonable access to work areas
• Removing personal belongings from work areas
• Obtaining necessary permits when required
• Communicating any concerns promptly
