Common Questions.
Honest Answers.
Most of what homeowners ask us, answered up front. If your question isn't here, just call.
How does pricing work?+
Flat packages, agreed before work starts: the Handyman Visit is $295 and covers up to 2 hours of general repairs, the Half Day is $495, and the Full Day is $895. Bigger jobs like a backsplash, a shed, or a deck resurface get one written price, paid on completion. Specialty installs like doors, vanities, and shower doors are priced per job, agreed up front. No hourly meters, no deposits, no surprise line items. Materials at cost, shown on your invoice.
What areas do you serve?+
Home base is East Brunswick, Old Bridge, Sayreville, South River, Edison, and Woodbridge, all within about 20 to 30 minutes of Parlin. We're also in South Amboy, Spotswood, Milltown, Monroe Township, Piscataway, and North Brunswick most weeks. If you are close, call and ask.
Who shows up at my door?+
One of our own craftsmen: background-checked, insured, on our payroll, and working to the same standard. You get a name and an on-my-way text before anyone arrives, the work follows the list you sent, and the site is cleaned up before the door closes.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. Licensed NJ home improvement contractor (NJ HIC #13VH13918800), insured, with general liability coverage. Verification available on request.
How do I book?+
Call, text photos of your list, or send the estimate form with pictures. Photos are the fast path: we can size the job, confirm the package, and book the visit without a second trip.
What kinds of work do you handle?+
Small repairs, not renovations: drywall, doors and locks, carpentry and trim, TV mounting and assembly, deck and fence repair, tile, grout and caulk, like-for-like fixture and faucet swaps, painting touch-ups, and the seasonal maintenance list. Bigger one-to-three-day jobs like backsplash and sheds too. Full bathroom remodels and tub-to-shower conversions are renovations, and we don't do them. Commercial punch lists for offices as well.
Do you do kitchen or whole-home remodels?+
No. We focus on small-job craftsmanship. Kitchen-adjacent repairs like backsplash tile, cabinet hinges and drawers, and like-for-like faucet or disposal swaps are all fair game inside a visit, but kitchen and bathroom renovations are not our lane. We will say so honestly rather than practice on your house.
How fast can you come out?+
Most visits book within the week. We are not a 24/7 emergency service; for burst pipes or sparking outlets call the licensed emergency trade first, then call us for the repairs that follow.
Is the work guaranteed?+
Yes. One-year labor warranty: if our workmanship fails within a year, we come back and make it right at no charge. Manufacturer warranties cover materials.
What payments do you accept?+
Card, check, or cash, due when the work is done and you have looked at it. Bigger jobs follow the same rule: paid on completion, no deposits, no draw schedules.
Do I need to be home?+
For the first visit, ideally yes for a quick walkthrough. For standing clients and commercial accounts we regularly work from arranged access and send photos when the list is done.
What if the job turns out to be bigger than a visit?+
We tell you before we start, never after. If the list is a half day, we say so and price it. If we spot something that needs a licensed trade or a full remodel, we will say that too and leave you to choose the contractor. No pressure either way.
