Shower Door Questions.
How much does shower door installation cost?
Most standard shower door installs fit inside a handyman visit covering up to two hours of skilled work, and you get the price before we schedule. Heavier frameless glass or out-of-square openings take longer, and we tell you that up front, not after.
Do you supply the door or do I buy it?
Either way works. Many customers pick their door at Lowe's or Home Depot and we install it. We can also measure first so you buy the right size the first time, which is the step that goes wrong in most DIY attempts.
Framed, semi-frameless, or frameless?
Framed is the budget workhorse. Semi-frameless looks cleaner for a little more. Frameless is the premium look but the glass is heavy and unforgiving to install, which is exactly when you want someone who has done it many times.
Can you replace just the door if the glass broke?
Usually yes, if the frame and opening are sound. We will tell you honestly if a full replacement makes more sense than fighting a corroded frame.
My shower opening is not square. Is that a problem?
It is normal, especially in older Central NJ homes. Doors have adjustment ranges, and knowing how to use them is most of the trade. Out-of-plumb walls are a measuring problem before they are an installation problem.
