    FAQ

    Backsplash Questions.

How much does a backsplash installation cost?

Most kitchen backsplashes are a one to two day job, and you get one written price at the estimate based on the square footage and the tile you choose. Tile is priced at cost and shown on the quote. Small accent walls and bathroom backsplashes often fit in a single day.

Can I buy the tile myself?

Yes, and most customers do. Pick the tile you love and we handle layout, cutting, setting, and grout. We will tell you how much to buy, including the overage that saves the project when a tile cracks.

    How long does it take?

Set the tile on day one, grout on day two after the mortar cures. Your kitchen is usable the whole time, and the range and countertops are protected while we work.

Do you do outlets and switches in the backsplash?

Cutting tile cleanly around outlets and extending outlet boxes to the new tile depth is part of the job. If an outlet needs actual electrical replacement work, we coordinate that properly rather than improvising.

Subway tile, mosaic, or large format?

Subway is timeless and forgiving. Mosaics hide imperfect walls well. Large format looks sharp but demands flat walls and tight layout. Bring your photo and we will give you a straight opinion at the estimate.
